Services
Meg's services include, but are not limited to:
Meg has a strong background in coordinating and managing programs and projects, including establishing project plans, working with consultants, monitoring progress and expenditure, engendering stakeholder support and presenting regular progress reports. She ensures that projects are successfully implemented on time and within budget, while continuing to meet the 'routine' day-to-day responsibilities of her work.
Communication strategies and writing
In providing strategic advice for communication activities, Meg draws on her experience across a range of public sector and private enterprises. She will help you develop and implement an integrated communications programme which reflects your business needs and communications mechanisms.
As needed, Meg can begin with a comprehensive review of your current communication performance, before developing your core messages, overall strategic themes and communication policies.
As a trained and experienced journalist and sub-editor, with substantial experience in corporate communications, Meg will target your message to suit your audience, purpose and style. She is skilled in writing for different audiences, following 'plain English' principles and applying corporate styles to new and existing material.
Through previous roles and my post-graduate studies, Meg appreciates the challenges and opportunities associated with transitioning through the health system. With particular experience in health promotion, she embraces opportunities to strengthen the skills and capabilities of service users and providers, while also working to support change in social, political, environmental and economic conditions.
Meg works with service providers to improve the experience ofpatients, carers and loved ones as they negotiate community and in-patient services, as well as transitions between acute and sub-acute services. The goal is always to improve the service user's experience by improving communication at each step in their health care journey, increasing understanding of their needs and preferences, integrating and streamlining systems and processes, and actively fostering a commitment to continuous improvement.
For your training needs, Meg is skilled in developing presentation and learning materials for different target groups. She engages well with small or large groups, tailoring her approach to your needs and preferences.
As a qualified trainer (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment), Meg is committed to meeting the standards of the Australian Quality Training Framework.
